27/11/2012 My harddrive just crashed with all of my songs. Pretty sweet huh?
At the moment i'm running some recovery programs, but as Gandalf used to say: There isn't much hope.
Well, we are going to start over again.

Super late reply, sorry. To be honest i'm not really backing things up at all. I'll upload the few files i think are important to a couple of hosts but that's about it.

The use of hosts as backup is really smart. You dont have to worry about damaging your hardrive. That includes damaging your HD in a stormflood or by an apocalypse.

Are you going to set up automatic backing-up? Or just a consistent scheduled frequency with which you'll manually do it? Have a good christmas!

From now on, i'm going to set up an auto-backup with time-machine. I already used timemachine, but only on my macbook. That's the reason I lost data on my external HD. How are you backing up your system actually?

I hope so too! I have spent some money on 2 new backup drives and a NAS. Hopefully that helps.
